Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma name their baby Vamika; Here’s what it means!

Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma took the world by storm this morning by announcing the name of their first baby together. They have named the little bonny baby as Vamika. It’s a very cute name and a pretty Indian name. Nowadays new parents have started keeping some unique names for their babies, however, Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma decided to go traditional and keep something common for their baby girl.

For the unversed, Vamika is the name of Goddess Durga. Many wouldn’t know but the name Vamika belongs to the rashi Vrushabh (Taurus) with the dominant planet Venus (Shukra) and Nakshatra (stars) Rohini. Not only does the name Vamika associate with Goddess Durga, but it’s also associated with the god’s other form Parvati.

Anushka Sharma took to social media to share the news of the baby’s name to the world. She captioned the post as, “We have lived together with love , presence and gratitude as a way of life but this little one , Vamika ❤️ has taken it to a whole new level ! Tears , laughter , worry , bliss – emotions that have been experienced in a span of minutes sometimes !
