The Mehendi!
For the first ceremony, which was the mehendi, designer Sabyasachi went for a fuchsia pink and orange themed frills and flowery lehenga for Anushka. While for Virat the designer went for a khadi kurta - churidaar with a classic fuchsia pink textured silk Nehru jacket detailed with blazer buttons. We loved how the two colour co-ordinated their look!
The engagement night!
Next was the engagement night and the duo literally looked fabulous. On this day, Anushka opted for a velvet saree in Gulkand Burgundy colour which featured hand-embroidery with miniature pearls and the finest quality of zardosi and marori work. Further, the entire look was complimented with kohl-rimmed eyes, red roses and the iconic micro dot bindi. While on the other hand, Virat looked really dapper in a navy blue coloured suit with a tie.
Anushka’s engagement gehna!
This was the statement piece which was worn by Anushka on the velvet saree for the engagement night. FYI, its an uncut diamond and pearl choker with matching studs, courtesy Sabyasachi.
On their wedding day!
Then it was their wedding day, where the couple looked angelic! For Anushka, Sabyasachi weaved magic with a pale pink lehenga which featured silver-gold metal thread work, vintage embroidery, pearls and beads. While the cricketer dulhaa opted for a pale-pink sherwani with a royal, silk turban (safa) and the jewel embellishment atop it, especially the delicate feather.
Flower themed hairdo!
Apart from Anushka's lehenga, the other thing which caught our attention was the flowery hairstyle which the diva chose for her BIG day. The above hairdo was surely a crowning glory for the bride, courtesy fresh flowers (lush Tuscan hydrangeas).
Exquisite jewellery for the bride!
Last but not the least, is the above statement piece which Anushka wore for the wedding. The handcrafted jewellery with syndicate uncut diamonds, pale pink spinel and baroque Japanese cultured pearls was a sight to behold.
The world literally went gaga when Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma tied the knot on 11th December 2017 in Italy. Ever since the news of their wedding broke out, fans have been in awe of how happy and gorgeous the couple looked. While we do not deny that the couple seemed beautiful together, but the thing which added the spark of sophistication and elegance to the two, were their outfits; courtesy Sabyasachi Mukherjee.
