This is when Vishal Bhardwaj will start shooting of Irrfan and Deepika’s film

Vishal Bhardwaj was supposed to shoot for his upcoming crime thriller ‘Sapna Didi’ starring Deepika Padukone and Irrfan Khan but due to health issues of both the actors as told by Vishal himself the shooting dates were pushed. The movie was put on hold as Irrfan has to go for treatment for his neuroendocrine tumour.

Now talking about the film shooting during an interview with PTI, Mr Bhardwaj said, “We will start work on our film next year maybe.” As per latest reports, the ‘Hindi Medium’ actor will return to India after Diwali this year and will apparently start shooting for ‘Hindi Medium’ which also stars Sara Ali Khan.

Vishal has earlier worked with Irrfan in movies like ‘Maqbool’ (2003), ‘7 Khoon Maaf’ (2011), and ‘Haider’ (2014). ‘Sapna Didi’ will see the reunion of Deepika and Irrfan after ‘Piku’. The movie is based on the character Femme Fatale from Hussain Zaidi’s book ‘Mafia Queens’ of Mumbai. Reportedly, Deepika was supposed to play gangster Sapna Didi in the movie.

Earlier there was news that Deepika told Bhardwaj that she would love to collaborate with him as soon as Irrfan is completely recovered. As Irrfan is returning back to India, we wish the movie goes on floors soon and we get to watch the pair soon on-screen.

Vishal Bhardwaj’s last movie was raved by the audiences as well as the critics. Talking about the success, the director said, “I have a small or limited audience but I make films to cater to everyone. I would want everybody to watch my films but that doesn’t happen. So you don’t know your audience. And the day you come to know about this, you are finished. For me, it is always about the story I want to convey to people.”
