After ‘The Sky Is Pink’, Priyanka Chopra to star in Vishal Bhardwaj’s next

Filmmaker Vishal Bhardwaj who was present at the song launch of ‘Pataaka’, confirmed his next with desi girl Priyanka Chopra, which will go on floors next year and will be based on Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night.

The actress, who has been shooting for Shonali Bose’s ‘The Sky Is Pink’ will kick start Vishal’s film soon. Talking about the collaboration, Vishal told The Indian Express, “Priyanka (also) wants to work with me. And we are working with each other. Hopefully, we will start the film next year.” This untitled film will mark the third collaboration between this actor-director duo after ‘7 Khoon Maaf’ and ‘Kaminey’.

He was later asked about the clash of ‘Pataaka’ and Anushka Sharma and Varun Dhawan’s ‘Sui Dhaaga’ on 28th September, to which he said, “During Haider, we had Bang Bang against us. I don’t think this matters. Audience will watch both the films. Gandhi Jayanti has been very lucky for me. Talvar also released on Gandhi Jayanti. I wanted this film also to release during Gandhi Jayanti. It’s a long weekend.” 

Vishal Bhardwaj’s next ‘Pataakha’ is based on a true story on real-life sisters who are each other’s biggest enemies. The film stars Radhika Madan, Sanya Malhotra and Sunil Grover in lead roles.
