EXCLUSIVE: Vishal Jethwa on dealing with his father’s demise at a young age: I couldn’t believe it

Actor Vishal Jethwa made an impressive Bollywood debut with Rani Mukerji starrer Mardaani 2 in 2019. Recently, he stunned everyone with Salaam Venky, where he played the role of Venkatesh, who suffers from Duchenne muscular dystrophy. Kajol played his on-screen mother. In an exclusive interview with Bollywood Bubble, Vishal opened on his low phase, losing his father at a young age, taking responsibilities and a lot more. He said that his father passed away in 2008 when he was just 13-years old. He had to take a lots of responsibilities at a very young age. His mother single handedly raised him including his siblings.

He said, “Dheere dheere maine aapni acting ki career ki shuruwat ki aur meri hobby profession mai badal gayi. Responsibility kahin na kahin hidden thi. Mujhe nahi pata tha ki mai apni responsibility ko fulfill karne ke liye ye sab kar raha hoon. Aab jake jab mai peeche dekhta hoon, tab lagta hain, ‘oh..main toh aapna kaam kar raha tha’.”

On his dad’s demise and dealing with the loss, Vishal said, “Mujhe woh exactly samay bhi yaad hain jab mujhe first time pata chala tha. Ye aap believe nahi karte ki aisa humare saath ho gaya. Jab aap chote hote hoh, aur aapko papa ki ehmiyat nahi pata hoh, tab aisa ho jaye toh phir aapko itna pata nahi hota. Jab hum chote hote hain, koi bhi change ko accept karna easy ho jate hain. Jab hum bade hote hain, toh koi bhi change accept karna thoda mushkil ho jate hain.”

“Ek realisation mujhe ye ho gayi ki abhi aapke pass jo bhi person hain, jisse aap pyaar karte hoh, usse bol do, usse kitne pyaar karte hoh batayo aur unko aap jitna pyaar kar sakte ho kar lo. Kyunki sach mooch nahi pata hain aage kya hoga and definitely ye bitter truth hain,” said the Human actor.
