Vivek Agnihotri ADMITS John Abraham-Bipasha Basu’s breakup impacted the shoot of Goal song Billo Rani; says, “There were lots of issues”

John Abraham and Bipasha Basu were once hailed among the hottest couples in Bollywood. The duo impressed the audience with their striking chemistry in movies like Jism, Race 2, Goal among others. However, their whirlwind romance also ended during the shoot of Goal. Recently, director Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri took to X and recalled how during Billo Rani song shoot, John and Bipasha broke up which led to issues.

Sharing the history of song, Vivek wrote, “This song has a history. Producers didn’t want it. Javed Saab was against the hook ‘Billo Rani’, Pritam wasn’t sure about the qawwali style. John and Bipasha had a break-up just a couple of days before it so there were lots of issues. But only the Late Saroj Khan believed in me. She said this will become the biggest hit and it did. Big salute to Pritam, Javed saab and Saroj ji.”

Bipasha Basu relationships

The Raaz actress has always grabbed limelight for her relationships. Before John Abraham, Bipasha dated Dino Morea from 1996 to 2002. Ahead of Raaz release, they broke up. After this, she was with John Abraham as mentioned. Basu was also rumored to have dated Daggubati during the release of their 2011 movie Dum Maaro Dum. She even dated Harman Baweja for a brief time. However, she got married to Karan Singh Grover in 2014 after they fell in love on Alone sets. Karana nd Bipasha are not parents to daughter Devi.

Meanwhile, John Abraham is all set to be seen in a politically intense thriller The Diplomat. The trailer has finally been released and looks like it has also impressed fans. The film also stars Sadia Khateeb, Sharib Hashmi, Revathy, and Kumud Mishra.
