Vivek Oberoi

CBFC (The Central Board of Film Certification)’s decision to ban Prakash Jha’s next production venture ‘Lipstick Under My Burkha‘, which happens to be a female-oriented film, has not gone down well with a large section of the society, including Bollywood actors.

Celebs have come out in the open about their take on the whole chapter and how they condemn CBFC’s decision. And another actor added to the list here is Vivek Oberoi. (Also Read: CBFC denies a certificate to ‘Lipstick Under My Burkha’. Too afraid of the break-free ideology?)

The actor was recently present at a media interaction, where he was asked to share his view on the ban. The ‘Prince’ actor stated, “In a democratic country, censorship should have a guideline. People should be allowed what they want to communicate as long as it is not hurting anybody’s sentiments and doesn’t provoke any anti-national feeling.”

The actor also spoke about his future ventures and revealed that he is willing to play an officer of the Customs and Excise department in the near future, as he finds they have interesting stories to share. “When I interact with some of the customs officials, they are always in their attractive uniform and I feel to play the role customs official in one of my movies. I think their uniform is attractive and they have interesting stories to share like how they trapped the accused, how they got a tip off a certain illegal activity or how they catch smugglers,” Vivek said.

Vivek will next be seen in Ram Gopal Verma’s ‘Rai’.
