Was Alia Bhatt’s pregnancy announcement a ‘promotional stunt’ for Brahmastra? Ranbir Kapoor CLARIFIES

Ranbir Kapoor is expecting his first child with his wife, actress Alia Bhatt. A week ago, the couple announced their pregnancy news to the world. Alia had made a heartwarming post, sharing the news. After the announcement, a section of people on social media speculated that it was a promotional activity, for the couple’s upcoming movie Brahmastra.

Ranbir, who is busy with the promotions of his upcoming movie Shamshera broke his silence on whether the pregnancy announcement made by Alia was a ‘promotional stunt’ for Brahmastra. Speaking with Hindustan Times, the Shamshera actor clarified his stance and said that Alia and he announced their pregnancy because they ‘just wanted to share the joy’.

Kapoor said, “Alia and I, as a married couple, we thought that it would just seem right to tell the world, because we felt it was the right time. We just wanted to share the joy and the news with the world and there was no other thought to it.”

Alia Bhatt had shared a photo of her from her ultrasound appointment on June 26. The photo features Ranbir and her watching the ultrasound. Alia looked happiest in the picture. And, sharing the good news, the actress wrote, “Our baby ….. coming soon” Many fans and friends showered love on the couple and sent the family good wishes.

Ranbir and Bhatt tied the knot on April 14, this year. The couple got married in an intimate ceremony at their residence in Mumbai. After the wedding nuptials, Alia had shared photos from her special day.

Meanwhile, work-wise, Kapoor is gearing up for the release of his movie Shamshera. The film also stars Vaani Kapoor and Sanjay Dutt in key roles. The actor even has the film Brahmastra, which features Alia too. It is scheduled for a September 2022 release. Ranbir even has Animal with Rashmika Mandanna.
