Was ‘MS Dhoni’ paid Rs 40 crore for his biopic? The truth is here…

Rumours suggesting that Indian cricketer MS Dhoni was paid Rs 40 crore for allowing a biopic to be made on him, were surfacing on internet for quite some time now. The cricketer has come out clean on the issue now and states that no one paid him such a high amount.

“That number sounds ridiculous. I don’t think any studio would be dumb enough (to pay so much),” Dhoni said.

Sushant Singh Rajput’s stellar act in the trailer and the songs are already evoking a lot of curiosity. Besides, Dhoni himself was a part of the trailer launch event. Do we get to see him during promotions too?

“As and when he gets the time. You have to bear in mind that it will appear narcissistic of Dhoni to actively promote the film. As it is, he’s feeling awkward about a film being made on him,” director Neeraj Pandey says.
