Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and Shahid Kapoor-starrer ‘Padmavati’ is one movie that all of us are desperately looking forward to. But unfortunately the film is already mired in a lot of controversies. Even during the shooting of the film, the members of Karni Sena had vandalised the equipment on the sets. Then when the posters were released, Karni Sena created a chaos by burning the same. With this, one wonders whether this film will get a smooth release or not. But rest assured, Smriti Irani has confirmed that the film will not be hampered in any way.
While conversing with Karan Johar on the platform of World Economic Forum, Smriti Irani stated, “I’m absolutely sure that the law and order situation will be under control,” when asked about ‘Padmavati’ suffering a revolt.

With this we hope that this film makes it to the theatres without any backlash.
Directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, ‘Padmavati’ is the film based on Queen Padmavati who performed jauhar (practice of jumping into fire) to save her dignity and give blood sacrifice for her army to win the war waged on by Alauddin Khilji. Deepika would essay the role of Queen Padmavati while Ranveer would be Alauddin Khilji. Shahid Kapoor would be essaying the role of her husband Maharawal Ratan Singh.
