The script of “Wazir“, directed by “Shaitaan” fame Bejoy Nambiar and starring megastar Amitabh Bachchan, Farhan Akhtar, and Aditi Rao Hydari with John Abraham and Neil Nitin Mukesh have cameo roles, took five years to complete, co-producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra said on Wednesday.
Speaking at the unveiling its teaser for media, Chopra, who has produced the film with Rajkumar Hirani, said the script wasn’t an easy task for the makers.
“We’ve spent five years to create the characters of Amitabh Bachchan and Farhan Akhtar. I’m extremely grateful to them for bringing these characters to life,” said Chopra, who was also a co-writers of the film along with Abhijat Joshi.
Asked about the extensive writing process, Chopra also said, “It takes us 4-5 years to write our scripts if you see our films. And that is the reason, our films are of a certain level.
“We are not a studio and we don’t have to pay salaries to 400 people. We are not in any hurry. We are bit lazy too. Right from ‘Parinda’ to ‘PK’, all have taken time to write, as we only back those projects we believe in.”
