’20 years of a life’ was the book Shah Rukh Khan said he was writing. Announced quite a few years back, it was supposed to be an autobiography. We’ve been awaiting the book since then. What’s up with it, really?
In a recent conversation with DNA, SRK revealed how the course of the book changed with time.
“It was meant to be an autobiography, but I found it really boring talking only about myself. So now, it’s just become a collection of very amusing, selective memories of the journey that I had, although I don’t know if people will like it,” he says.
When will it be out though?
“It was meant to be for 10 years, but now I guess it has to be 20 years, since I started writing the book. So, I got delayed exactly by 10 years. New chapters kept on getting added. The earlier book ended with Aryan’s birth, but now, it will have to end with AbRam’s birth,” he answers, adding that he was really hesitant to talk about his own professional achievements and thus only three or four chapters are devoted to his work.
