Sunny Leone faces legal trouble after singing national anthem

Sunny Leone, who recently had a proud moment as she got to sing the Indian National Anthem at one of the Pro Kabaddi League matches, on Friday, has apparently gotten into legal trouble for singing it incorrectly. On Saturday evening, a filmmaker named Ullhas PR filed a complaint against the actress in Delhi’s New Ashok Nagar police station.

He has blamed Sunny Leone for incorrectly singing India’s National Anthem at the opening ceremony of this league. In his complaint, he has stated that, during the rendition of the national anthem, the word ‘Sindh’ was replaced with ‘Sindhu’ by Sunny. He also added that there were two cameramen who were just ‘moving around’ when the national anthem was being sung. As far as Sunny is concerned, the ‘One Night Stand’ actress had earlier mentioned in one of her interviews that she was quite nervous about singing the National Anthem but with a lot of rehearsals and help from the team and her husband Daniel Weber, she sang it with ease.

This is not the first time when any B-Town celeb has faced such kind of a problem. A few months ago, Bollywood’s megastar Amitabh Bachchan was accused of taking more time than mandated, whilst singing the national anthem during the high voltage Twenty20 World Cup clash between India and Pakistan. Coincidentally this same filmmaker Ullhas PR had filed this complaint against Big B at that time too.

Previously, the filmmaker had also filed a police complaint against Bollywood actor-producer Aamir Khan on November 25 last year for his remarks on intolerance in the country and even before, he lodged a complaint against Aamir Khan following the release of his film ‘PK’, in which he referred to policemen as “thulla”.

Well, Sunny Leone is certainly not new to controversies, so we’ll have to see how she handles it this time.
