When Ajay Devgn’s prank blundered and led a woman to attempt suicide

A prank, when gone wrong, can backfire so badly that you’d wish you never played it at the first place. We’re quite sure Ajay Devgn felt the same when a week-long prank almost pushed a woman towards ending her own life!

As Ajay promotes his upcoming release ‘Raid’, during a conversation with Mid-day, revealed an old instance wherein a prank on a co-star’s wife simply didn’t go the way he wanted it to! (Also Read: Kapil Sharma made Ajay Devgn wait last year on sets, now it’s revenge time for Ajay)

He recalled how a co-star married a woman who didn’t belong to film fraternity, and had joined her husband for an outdoor shoot. As mischevious as he could get, Ajay would keep telling her that there were no night shoots and that her husband was having an affair!

“I’d tell her that I return to my room at 10.30 [pm]. She’d tell me that she’s heard all about [my pranks]. That she trusts her husband. This carried on for eight days. On the ninth day, we woke up and learnt that she had actually taken pills, had to be rushed to the hospital. She’d been fighting with her husband over this, throughout, checking with him on what the hell he’d been up to,” he said.
