When Akshay Kumar’s co-star was forced to shoot a rain sequence despite getting her first periods

With Akshay Kumar’s upcoming film ‘PadMan’ slated to release soon, the handsome star is on his toes promoting the flick. As we know that ‘PadMan’ revolves around menstruation and hygiene, the starcast of this film is doing its best to create awareness among the masses about the same. So at a recent event, Akshay spoke about how one of his co-stars was forced to shoot a rain sequence despite she being on her periods. Akshay described that the actress was just a 14-year-old and she had got her first periods then. Her mother had requested the producers to let her go and take a day off, but they refused. She then had to shoot in rain despite her suffering. Akshay further stated that he was not in the position to say anything on the whole issue then.

Going by Akshay’s explanation, we are assuming that his 14-year-old co-star could be Mohini from the film ‘Dancer’. The film did have a rain sequence.
