When Amitabh Bachchan fell asleep on the sets of ‘102 Not Out’

Megastar Amitabh Bachchan is one of those artistes who still rehearse a single scene over fifteen times before facing the camera to shoot it. Currently, the actor is busy with the shoot of his upcoming film ‘102 Not Out’ where he will be seen playing a 102-year-old father to actor Rishi Kapoor, who will be seen essaying his son, a 75-year-old. Recently, during the filming of this film, Big B had to enact a scene where his character is seen fallen fast asleep. But, surprisingly, the actor slept for real during the shoot. Yes! You heard that right and this revelation has been done by none other than Big B himself.

The actor as many would be aware is quite active on sharing his experiences while filming these new projects. Recently, he took to his blog to share this incident from the sets of ‘102 Not Out’ along with a picture of himself. (Also Read: When Shashi Kapoor pulled Amitabh Bachchan back, from playing an ‘extra’)

He wrote, “Sleep .. that mechanism that has been a constant in us all .. like taking in air to breathe and survive .. and the opportunity of catching up with its loss, on set is a gifted moment in the script .. rare .. but so welcome .. one actually goes to sleep, while the lighting and the action and the scene is being conducted .. such a delight .. And my sleep was genuine .. they actually had to come and wake me up to tell me that it was over.” [sic]

Aww… he looks as funny as an adorable grandpa in this picture, doesn’t he? Big B can be seen here dressed in a simple kurta pyjama with socks and wearing a monkey cap as he takes his nap.

Talking about the film ‘102 Not Out’, it is directed by Umesh Shukla and is based on writer-director Saumya Joshi’s successful Gujarati play by the same name. It would see Amitabh Bachchan and Rishi Kapoor teaming up after a gap of almost 26 years, and will hit the screens on December 1, 2017.
