When Katrina Kaif watched 100 hours of footage to understand a journalist’s work

As ‘Jagga Jasoos’ is finally set to release, the thought of it is making us quite curious. As you know, the film has undergone numerous delays. Besides, it features former lovebirds Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif. Post breakup, they grew awkwardly uncomfortable in each other’s company. We are to see if they’ve still retained their magical chemistry!

However, Katrina gave her best foot forward for ‘Jagga Jasoos’. She plays a journalist here, and did everything to understand how a journalist works. This included meeting real-life journalists, watching films on journalists, reading books and watching footage of how a journalist functions. “Kat plays a journalist and she had been living the character for several months. She always knew that this character would need extensive preparation, and wanted to get the mannerisms right.

She would watch behind-the-camera footage of journalists and how they approached their stories. She also watched a few famous movies and referred to books to understand the kind of questions they ask their subjects,” a source told Mid-Day, adding that she watched almost 100 hours of footage on YouTube to learn more about a journalist’s life.

That is a lot of effort. The trailer of ‘Jagga Jasoos’ has already captured everyone’s attention and it seems to be a fun, musical journey throughout.

The film releases on July 14, 2017.
