When Rekha and Jaya Bachchan came face to face, and things turned awkward…

We all know that veteran actors Rekha and Jaya Bachchan share a common post (Rekha was rumoured to be involved with Amitabh Bachchan even after his marriage with Jaya Bachchan). So, when these two ladies bumped into each other, things were bound to get a bit awkward. On Saturday, the two women had an accidental meet at the Parliament as members of both the houses came to vote for the election of the Vice President of the country. According to reports in a leading daily, the unplanned meeting between Rekha and Jaya Bachchan happened when Rekha along with Rajiv Shukla and some MPs were waiting for the elevator near Finance Minister Arun Jaitley’s office. That’s when Jaya Bachchan was coming down from the same elevator and as the door of the lift opened, Rekha and Jaya came face to face. They shared an awkward vibe for a few seconds but to ease the uncomfortableness, Rekha bent in and gave a hug to Jaya Bachchan. She even whispered something in Jaya’s ear which left her surprised. Now we are curious to know as to what did Rekha whisper in Jaya’s ears that left her startled?

For those who are unaware, Amitabh Bachchan’s rumoured love affair with Rekha had made headlines, back then. Their affair and subsequent breakup was the talk of the town. Well, this was at the time when he was already married to Jaya Bachchan. Ever since, the relations between Rekha and Jaya Bachchan are somewhat strained so it was indeed a surprise to see these two ladies bond. Maybe, they have let the bygones be bygones. The two ladies and the man, shared screen space in Late Yash Chopra’s ‘Silsila’, which was a tale of extramarital affairs.
