Sridevi’s demise has indeed left a void that can not be filled. She was not just a talented actor or dancer, but was also an avid painter. The actress loved to paint and had been pursuing this hobby for a few years. Recalling the good times the actress had spent, recently we came across an old video where we got to see her beautiful creations as a painter. Interestingly, Sridevi had painted a portrait of actress and niece Sonam Kapoor after she had watched her debut film ‘Saawariya’ (2007).
It was in the year 2009 when Boney Kapoor and Sridevi had arrived as guests on superstar Salman Khan’s reality game show ‘10 Ka Dum’. The couple was here for the promotions of their film ‘Wanted’ which featured Salman playing the lead role. While the duo were playing the game, Salman was the one who revealed that Sridevi is a wonderful painter. Further, he took the opportunity to bring two beautiful paintings of Sridevi on the sets of the show. While Salman and everyone was having a look at these paintings, Boney Kapoor said, “Somehow you know, we had seen ‘Saawariya’ and her (Sridevi) attempt was to paint.. to depict Sonam in a particular way.”
Here we have caught our hands on the picture of this portrait that Sridevi had gifted to Sonam. As it is now going viral online, have a look at it below:
Isn’t it beautiful?
Sridevi said that it took her 10 days to make this lovely painting.
Indeed, she was a true artiste at heart.
