Well, today it’s a special day. When you have a look at superstar Shah Rukh Khan‘s celebrated filmography, one of his most brilliant performances was in the film ‘Swades’. And today, this remarkable film completes 13 years of its release.
What makes this day really more special is that filmmaker Ashutosh has shared some unseen pictures from the sets. These stills witness none other than Aamir Khan giving the mahurat clap.
Ashutosh took to his Twitter handle to share these pictures and captioned them as, “Thank you for your immense LOVE and REMEMBERING #13YearsOfSwades Here are a couple of really special UNRELEASED stillls from the Mahurat Day! @aamir_khan @iamsrk #SunitaGowariker Also, my experience of #1YearOfTwitter has been EXCEPTIONAL!!”
Have a look at Ashutosh’s post below:

During the beginning of ‘Swades’, Aamir was shooting for his movie ‘Mangal Pandey: The Rising’ and hence, was sporting a mustache.
Talking about ‘Swades’, it was the first collaboration between SRK (as the lead hero) and Ashutosh Gowariker. It was also Ashutosh’s first film as a producer along with his wife Sunita Gowariker.
Before ‘Swades’, Gowariker helmed films ‘Baazi’ and ‘Lagaan’ which starred Aamir Khan playing the lead role.
It’s such a coincidence that Ashutosh’s debut film as a director ‘Pehla Nasha’ had Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan making a cameo. Along with them, actor Saif Ali Khan was also present in that scene.
Indeed, we are driven back the memory lane.
Quiet, resonant, and creative, he can be seen immersed in his own world, and puts in his heart and soul into the one passion that he has, Bollywood. His line for survival? Feel happy to be a part of it.
