Whoa! Sonam Kapoor to turn a director soon

She has already earned the name of Bollywood’s most fashionable diva. Sonam Kapoor, has now expressed her eagerness to direct a film soon.

In a recent interview to a media house, she stated “I will be directing very soon, maybe in a couple of years. I have written scripts, I have ideas/concepts… I try to understand what it is about life that I want to showcase and what it is that I would like to explore within myself as a person and as an artiste, what I would like to see visually and I put that down. Let’s see whatever comes of it.”

Not many might know, that Sonam was an assistant director to Sanjay Leela Bhansali in his much acclaimed 2005 film ‘Black’. When asked in which genre would she like work, answered “I find the genres of drama and romance very attractive. I love comedy as well. But I would love to direct women-centric subjects, too. I don’t think I am talented enough to direct myself, but maybe some day I would like to.”

Not the end! Guess who did Sonam name when she spoke about actresses who inspire her to turn a director? Yes, the very gorgeous Deepika Padukone is one of them! Sonam and Deepika together have hit the ehadlines quite a few times but not for very pleasant reasons. The cold rivalry between both of them has been of much talks in B-town. It’s great to find Sonam naming Deepika as one of her inspirations.

“Right now, several actresses inspire me to direct — Swara Bhaskar, Alia Bhatt, Parineeti Chopra, Anushka Sharma and Deepika Padukone, too. They are all so good.”- she said.

Phew! We await to turn a filmmaker, but before that, both of you, turn friends please!
