Arjun Kapoor is one happy person right now. The actor, who tasted success with his latest movie ‘Mubarakan’, recently became the co-owner of Indian Super League team FC Pune City. At the event announcing the same, the actor got quite candid, and revealed many things, from his love for football, to his upcoming ventures. But one interesting aspect which caught our attention was when he spoke about the biopic that he would like to feature in.
With biopics being the flavour of the season, it was a natural question to be asked. And if a biopic on an eminent sportsperson is concerned, we can’t forget the success of last year’s ‘M.S.Dhoni: The Untold Story’ which took Sushant Singh Rajput to another level of stardom. So, on being asked as to which sportsperson’s biopic would he be interested in, Arjun said, “I would love to do a biopic on a sportsperson but that of an underdog. Dhoni and Ganguly are great inspirations but Dhoni is done.” (Also Read:Â Arjun Kapoor now the proud co-owner of FC Pune City team)
Well the squad is being decided on Kabir Khan’s 83′, which is a reel adaptation was one of the greatest events in the history of Indian sports, when the team won World Cup for the first time. Though Ranveer Singh has been already finalised for the role of skipper Kapil Dev, we yet do not know who will playing the other cricketers. We wonder if after this statement of Arjun, Kabir Khan would take notice. Even if not, there are innumerable underdogs, not just in cricket, but across various sports, who have brought laurels, to the nation. It will be interesting to see Arjun stepping into the shoes of one.
On work front, Arjun is a busy man. He will be seen in ‘Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar’ and ‘Namastey Canada’ with his ‘Ishaqzaade’ co-star Parineeti Chopra.
