Why are Nargis Fakhri’s dialogues subtitled in Madras Cafe?

Thanks to Deepika’s Chennai Express, Nargis Fakhri’s dialogues get sutitled in Madras Cafe apart for the fact that she would be speaking in her own voice.

As per sources, earlier it was not so. The original idea was to let her speak in the language she is comfortable in. But then everything changed with the release of Chennai Express; where Deepika spoke a lot of Tamil without any subtitles annoying the people who did not understand Tamil. So the concept of adding subtitles was added to the movie.

Well so what, at least Nargis Fakhri’s fans will be happy to at last hear her voice on screen.
