The sizzling onscreen chemistry shared between Sidharth Malhotra and Jacqueline Fernandez is pumping up the excitement for their soon to release film ‘A Gentleman’ to another level. Recently, the duo launched the promotional song ‘Bandook Meri Laila’ from the film, along with the team. But, it was during the media interaction when Sidharth Malhotra was seen at his quirky best. As many would be aware, Jacqueline Fernandez’s pole dance in ‘Chandralekha’, which is another track from the film, is surely turning out to be the highlight of that song.
While interacting with the media, Jacqueline was asked about what all went into the preparation for this pole dance and how was her experience. Before, the actress could reply, her co-star Sidharth quipped, “Bahut achcha experience tha, dekhne ke liye.” [sic] To which, the actress quickly replied saying, “Yeah Sid had a great time.” [sic] (Also Read: ‘A Gentleman’: Sidharth sheds some light on the kiss being cut by CBFC)
Further, Jacqueline shared her experience on learning Pole dance, saying, “This film is based in Miami and there you can find pole dance almost everywhere like in clubs, beaches and even gyms. So we just came up with this idea that in an office party we will have this pole dance. My character Kavya, who is adventurous, loves dancing and bit wild who wants excitement so yeah she is like someone who would jump on a pole. I trained for the pole dance for almost two months and it was very difficult to learn. In fact even Sid tried his hands at pole dance but couldn’t succeed.” [sic]
Listening to this, Sidharth came with his reply saying, “Main pole pe gaya 3 second ke liye aur niche aa gaya. Bahot technical reasons hai I think ladke nahi kar sakte hai pole dancing. Pehle toh ladkon ko shorts peheni padegi kyunki aap skin se chipakte ho pole pe. Aur phir ladkon ke jo baal hote hai woh sab nikalne padege, fir agar aap bachche chahte hain toh fir aap zyada der nahi ruk sakte pole pe.” [sic]
Well, as we said earlier that Sidharth was at his quirky best and this statement of him completely left us in splits.
Apart from Sidharth and Jacqueline, ‘A Gentleman’ also stars Suniel Shetty and Darshan Kumaar in pivotal roles. The film is directed by duo Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK and is slated to release on August 25, 2017.
