Why ‘Secret Superstar’ is a film you should watch with your mother

Aamir Khan’s ‘Secret Superstar’ is about a teenage girl’s journey of overcoming obstacles, more than one. But more than that, it revolves around the eternally beautiful relationship of a mother and her child. We can easily call it a tribute to that one bond that never let you down, no matter how  the circumstance looked like. Hence, the makers insist you watch the film, accompanied by your mother. In fact, they are planning to show the film to their guests the same way.

“The Mother-Daughter relationship is the heart of Secret Superstar. I was thinking about my Mom a lot when I was writing it. And now that it’s ready I can’t wait to watch it with her. Even Aamir sir is keeping a screening for Ammi ji. So we thought why not tell all our guests to come along with their Mothers. In fact, that’s how I suggest everyone watches the film,” says director Advait Chandan.

That’s a reason good enough, right?
