Arshad Warsi starrer ‘Jolly LLB’ went on to be a huge hit at the box-office. The Subhash Kapoor’s courtroom drama even bagged a national award. Now there are rumours that the makers are planning a sequel to the hit flick and apparently Arshad Warsi will not be a part of the movie. His role of Jagdish Tyagi, an LLB graduate will be depicted by either Akshay Kumar or Saif Ali Khan.
Sources say, “The first part got rave reviews from critics and audience alike and the makers are keen that the second part is bigger and better. Therefore, they are contemplating between approaching Akshay and Saif to essay the lead role.”
Sources further added, “The script of the sequel is locked and casting is underway. Once things are finalised an official announcement will be made.”
There is an ongoing buzz that Paresh Rawal might get enrolled to play the role of Boman Irani, who played the defense lawyer in the prequel. Since the installment will have a new premise, the director was of an opinion that the lawyers should be different too.
On the work front, Akshay has just wrapped up his film ‘Rustom’ while Saif Ali Khan is busy wrapping up Vishal Bhardwaj’s ‘Rangoon’ that also stars Shahid Kapoor and Kangana Ranaut in pivotal roles.
