Bollywood’s Khiladi Akshay Kumar wishes to be in Chennai when South superstar Rajinikanth’s upcoming release ‘Kabali’ hits the theaters. The ‘Housefull 3’ actor, who is currently shooting for Rajinikanth starrer ‘2.O’ is super excited about the Thalaiva’s upcoming release.
At present, the ‘Airlift’ actor is busy shooting for his part in ‘2.O’, in Chennai. He is depicting the role of a villain in the movie. In a candid conversation the actor opened up on working with Rajini Sir, how he has always been a great fan of the actor, and the fact that this is the first time he has been able to experience first hand the aura surrounding the South superstar.
Akshay said, “I can’t wait to see Superstar’s ‘Kabali’. My respect for Sir’s fans has increased. I heard that many of them have already started requesting for leave on the day of the release! I also came to know that fans wake up as early as 4 am to witness their beloved idol on the big screen. Even on the sets of 2.O, I hear the Kabali ringtone everywhere! This is unbelievable. I really wish I were in Chennai on the day of Kabali’s release.”
Akshay further added, “There’s a saying that cinema is magic and actors are magicians. For me, Rajinikanth sir is the real magician. From what I have noticed, he has his own way of delivering dialogues — which I can’t even think of doing myself!”
Akshay Kumar is gearing up for the release of his upcoming Bollywood flick ‘Rustom’, which is slated to release this August.
It is not often that we get to see two of the biggest stars in Indian cinema, sharing screen space. ‘Kabali’ sure is going to be an interesting watch, with the combined talents of Akshay Kumar and Superstar Rajinikanth.
