The actor-director jodi of Ajay Devgn and Priyadarshan is teaming up yet again for the Hindi remake of the Malayalam super hit film ‘Oppam’.
While its Malayalam counterpart too was directed by Priyadarshan, he is now keen on bringing the story to Bollywood. Confirms a source, “Priyan had Akshay in mind for the role, but the actor is busy till 2018. He narrated the role to Ajay who has liked the script. He will play the protagonist and the role of a blind lift operator (played by Mohanlal in the Malayalam film). ‘Oppam’ had made more than `50 cr at the BO. Interestingly, Ajay has acted in the Hindi remake of Mohanlal’s Malayalam hit ‘Drishyam’.”

The last time Ajay and Priyadarshan had worked together was in the 2010 and 2012, for the films ‘Aakrosh’ and ‘Tezz’ respectively.
The story of the film revolves around a blind lift operator, who has to prove his innocence after being framed for murder.
