Shraddha Kapoor and Arjun Kapoor-starrer ‘Half Girlfriend’ is surely one of the most awaited films of the year. Directed by Mohit Suri, the movie is based on Chetan Bhagat’s book of the same name. Well, let us tell you something interesting about the film. ‘Half Girlfriend’ is the first Indian film to be shot inside the UN Headquarters in New York.
Chetan Bhagat, who is also the co-producer, took to Twitter to share this trivia about the film. He tweeted, “Hi guys, Half Girlfriend: 10.5 weeks to go! Today’s #halfgirlfriend #funfact : The @UN !”
UN officials also appreciated the positive message in the film, particularly around primary rural education in India. The crew had special security check done at 5 am, before they began their shoot inside, to capture footage which has never been seen before Indian cinema. The movie, which is being produced by Ekta Kapoor will be hitting the screens on May 19, 2017.
