She once used to be Bollywood’s heartthrob. Sridevi, however, chose to make her Bollywood comeback with a completely differently flavoured film ‘English Vinglish’. Re-proving her mettle as an actress, she then signed ‘Mom’, a women-oriented drama. If reports are to be believed, she has already signed her next too; and it’s nothing else but the much-awaited sequel to ‘Mr. India’!
As per a report in Deccan Chronicle, she starts filming for ‘Mr. India’ after she is done with ‘Mom’. (Also Read: AR Rahman’s soulful music creates magic in ‘O Sona Tere Liye’ song from Sridevi’s ‘MOM’)
“The idea is to take the story forward, but not just for the heck of it. We wanted a solid plot, and we have got it,” a source told the publication.
The 1987 film starring Anil Kapoor and Sridevi in lead roles turned out to be one of the most iconic films ever. We even heard the sequel was going to star Kapoor’s son Harshvardhan Kapoor as the protagonist.
Here’s hoping it happens soon!
