Actor Yami Gautam took to her Instagram and penned a heartfelt note for her father Mukesh Gautam after he won a National Award. Mukesh Gautam bagged the Best Film National Award for his Punjabi film Baghi Di Dhee. Feeling all proud and emotional, Yami mentioned that her father’s journey was the hardest thing she had seen. She even praises him for his consistent passion for work and immense honesty in ethics.
The emotional note read, “Very emotional moment as my father, Shri Mukesh Gautam, received his first National Award, as a director, for his film – ‘Baghi Di Dhee’. Emotions cannot be poured in words. I am such a proud daughter. My father’ journey till here has been one of the hardest journeys I have seen & yet couldn’t deter him from his consistent passion for work & immense honesty in ethics. Your family is proud of you, papa. A special mention to @rabindra.narayan & @jasrajsinghbhatti for being a fantastic team.“

Yami Gautam’s father Mukesh Gautam is an Indian film director and works predominantly in Punjabi-language films. He is known for his movies Ek Noor (2011) and Akhiyaan Udeekdian (2009).
Talking about its winners list, movies like Kantara, Brahmastra, Uunchai and others have bagged awards in many categories. Kantara bagged the Best Popular Film whereas Brahmastra got the Best Film in the AVGC award. Rishab Shetty won the Best Actor award for his performance in Kantara.
