Actress Yami Gautam and Aditya Dhar have been married since 4 years. She is currently in the final trimester of her pregnancy, is gearing up for motherhood while maintaining her commitment to her career. In a recent interview, she shared her plans to return to work without a long overdue post-childbirth. Speaking to the Times of India, she expressed gratitude for the support of her mother and sister Surilie Gautam, in her journey to motherhood.

Reflecting on her upbringing, she fondly recalled her mother’s playful yet patient approach to parenting, which has deeply influenced her outlook on motherhood. She said, “I remember she was very playful with us. I also liked the way she would correct us and keep us occupied.”
When asked about managing the demands of motherhood and career, Yami revealed her mother’s sage advice: “You can’t take notes because it doesn’t work like that.” She also praised her sister Surilie for her exemplary parenting skills, emphasising her close bond with her nephew, Saibhang Singh Bhatti.
Despite her impending motherhood, Yami remains committed to her career, with a string of successful projects under her belt, including ‘OMG 2,’ ‘Chor Nikal Ke Bhaga,’ and ‘Lost.’ She affirmed, “I will be a working mother. My mother and mother-in-law have been working women and have balanced it well. They have set an example for me. Also, I am glad I have a very supportive husband.”
Yami credited her supportive husband, Aditya Dhar, for providing unwavering encouragement. With the confidence gained from her recent successes, including the acclaimed ‘Article 370,’ she expressed readiness to embark on new projects, including the upcoming film ‘Dhoom Dhaam,’ alongside her husband.
As she prepares to embrace motherhood while continuing her career journey, Yami Gautam embodies the modern working mother, poised to navigate the demands of both worlds with determination.
