‘Yamla Pagla Deewana Phir Se’ gets a new release date, avoids clash with ‘Gold’

Dharmendra, Bobby Deol and Sunny Deol’s ‘Yamla Pagla Deewana Phir Se‘ gets a new release date. Earlier, the film was scheduled to release with Akshay Kumar and Mouni Roy’s ‘Gold’ and John Abraham and Manoj Bajpayee’s  ‘Satyameva Jayate’ on 15th August.

The film will now hit theaters on 31st August 2018. In an official statement, Sunny Deol told Bollywood Hungama, “Since Aug 15th has two patriotic films Gold and Satyameva Jayate which are topical for the day and on 24th we have our family friends Anil Sharma’s son being launched who has our blessings. Our film is a wholesome family entertainer, hence, we have decided to release our film Yamla Pagla Deewana Phir Se two weeks later on 31st August 2018.”

Apart from the Deol family, the film will also feature Sonakshi Sinha in a special role. Talking about her cameo in the film, Sonakshi said, “I am appearing in a special song. There is Salman Khan, Rekha Ji, Dharmendra and of course me, so it was quite an honor to be shooting with such a wonderful and veteran actors. Sharing the frame with them is a huge deal for me and I am really looking forward to the song”.

Now, the film will clash with Shahid Kapoor, Yami Gautam, and Shraddha Kapoor ‘Batti Gul Meter Chalu’ and Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao’s ‘Stree’.
