Zaid Darbar’s father Ismail Darbar reveals what Gauahar Khan’s mother told him after the wedding

Gauahar Khan and Zaid Darbar tied the knot on December 25 in presence of their families and close ones. The wedding was followed by a lavish reception party that was attended by their close acquaintances. Zaid’s father and music composer, Ismail Darbar said that it was the most beautiful wedding in their family till date. He liked the entire arrangement and gave credit to his daughter-in-law Gauahar Khan.

Speaking to ETimes, he said, “I have been in Mumbai since 40 years and attended several weddings in my family. I am proud and happy about the fact that not just that my son is married today but also the manner in which the whole thing was decorated and held. The entire credit of this goes to my daughter-in-law Gauahar Khan. Every small detail of the decoration was her selection.”

Ismail revealed that he cried after hugging Zaid. “I always felt that it was a natak when people cried but today, I stand corrected. I don’t know what happened but my emotions just swelled up when I hugged my son after he was married,” said Darbar.

Gauahar’s mother also asked Ismail to look after her daughter and that was the biggest emotional moment. Ismail said, “She told me meri beti ka khayyal rakhna. I told her that aap ki beti itni kaabil hai ki woh mere poore parivaar ka khayyal rakhegi.”

Ismail also revealed that yet another reception is going to be hosted by Gauahar and Zaid today at The Club in Juhu.
