The 2006 suspense thriller featuring Emraan Hashmi boasted of an ensemble cast. Barring Hashmi himself, the film also starred Udita Goswami and Dino Morea. After more than a decade, director Anant Mahadevan is ready with a sequel of the film.
Actress Zareen Khan dons the hat of a solo lead after a long time. Excited about the same, Zareen shared what her character is about.
“I play a girl called Sheena, who believes that if she gets this particular job, all her problems will be solved. But she gets into a mess because of the job. After a point, she realises that there is no way out but she still gets out of the situation with her courage and will power,” she said. Zareen, in the film, acquires the job of a Governess, which is followed by a series of happenings.
“I would call it luck. I am being offered another franchise film. I feel I’m just plain lucky, and may be the makers feel the same. Honestly, when I am doing a franchise film, I don’t really think about the previous film because I don’t want to carry that baggage,” she added.
“Everyone in the film is the victim and the schemer,” she throws some light on ‘Aksar 2’ as she signs off.
The film starring Gautam Rode and Abhinav Shukla among others will release on October 6.
