Zarina Wahab BREAKS SILENCE on son Sooraj Pancholi being acquitted in the Jiah Khan case

Actor Sooraj Pancholi got a clean chit from the special CBI court in the Jiah Khan death case on 28th April. Jiah Khan died on 3rd June 2013. The Satellite Shankar actor who was charged with abetting Jiah Khan’s suicide has won the case against the late actress’s family. Now, in a recent interview, Zarina Wahab opened up about her son’s acquittal.

Here’s what Zarina Wahab said about son Sooraj Pancholi…

Speaking with Bollywood Hungama, Zarina shared she’s happy that her son’s smile is back. The veteran actress added, “Otherwise for ten years we suffered all the lies in the belief that justice will finally prevail, and it did! But what about all those mothers whose sons are locked away after a failed relationship? My heart reaches out to them. No mother should suffer the way I have.”

Zarina now wants to lead a normal life with her family. “What wrong did my son do that he had to be punished for ten years? We just want to be left alone now. We want to feel like a normal family after ten years,” added Zarina.

Sooraj and his family breathed a sigh of relief after the court’s judgement was revealed in the Jiah Khan case.

Recently, we got in touch with Sooraj and he spoke about the case. The actor told us, “My father and mother were helpless because they couldn’t do anything. My trial was a complete media trial, it was not in court, it was more outside the court.”

The actor added, “Now after 10 years, in the proceedings the letter and suicide note have been confirmed false, so why was I even arrested. I don’t want to go against the Mumbai police or the authorities, or even Jiah’s mother because I want to move on. If I stick to getting my revenge, its not going to work for me.”

Sooraj makes an appearance post acquittal…

After his acquittal, Sooraj visited the Siddhivinayak temple in Mumbai. He had a big smile on his face as paps clicked him.
