Zeenat Aman revisits London’s Oxford Street: Weather is quintessentially grey but my spirits are high

Actress Zeenat Aman has recently marked her debut on Instagram. The Diva has been winning over the netizens with some adorable throwback gems. Post sharing a sultry picture in a silver gown she is back with a new one. In the latest post, Zeenie baby is seen taking a walk down London’s Oxford Street.

Sharing a black and white photo of herself from the 1970s she wrote, “Oxford Street has changed over the last 45 years, but not nearly as much as I have. I’m in London for a brief visit, and it’s been such fun to show the boys my old haunts. Between personal visits and film shoots, the city was a second home of sorts for many years.“

She further added, “In my twenties I would make a beeline to this street to browse the aisles of Selfridges. I loved their summer fashions, none of which were available in India at the time. So when I found an outfit I liked, I’d buy it in multiple colours! Once my shopping bags were in hand, it would be time for further retail therapy at Harrods. The weather here is quintessentially grey, but my spirits are high.”

 She also spoke about why her followers might not often find her promoting brands via her posts.

A couple of days back Zeenat Aman shared a picture of herself looking stunning in a silver gown. The pic was from the muhurat ceremony of her 1978 film Shalimar. The movie also featured Dharmendra, Shammi Kapoor and Hollywood star Rex Harrison.

The actress wore a self-designed silver gown for the event. It was created by a renowned designer of that time, Mani Rabadi. Zeenat Aman further revealed that the “plunging neckline and sleek silhouette” of her gown “certainly turned some heads” at the high-profile event.

Zeenat Aman recently walked the ramp at the Lakme Fashion Week. She was a showstopper for designer Shahin Mannan and owned the ramp like a pro.

On the work front, she will be marking her OTT debut with the upcoming series, Showstopper.
