Zeenat Aman wishes to cast THIS gorgeous actress as Rupa in Satyam Shivam Sundaram 2

Raj Kapoor’s 1978 film Satyam Shivam Sundaram portrayed Zeenat Aman in a never-seen-before avatar as Rupa. The film drew attention for its racy portrayal of its lead actress. The actress has several times shared details about the controversy surrounding the movie in her Instagram posts. As she appeared on Koffee With Karan 8 recently, Karan Johar quizzed Zeenat Aman Bout which actress she thinks can essay Rupa in Satyam Shivam Sundaram 2, and surprisingly she named Deepika Padukone.

During a fun rapid-fire session, Karan Johar asked Zeenat Ji, “If you had to cast Rupa for Satyam Shivam Sundaram 2, from which generation do you think would do justice to the part?” To this, the actress answered, “Deepika Padukone”.

Zeenat Aman narrated how she landed her role of Rupa in the film Satyam Shivam Sundaram directed by the legendary Raj Kapoor, since she had a very ‘Western’ image at the time. She also revealed receiving gold coins from director Raj Kapoor. The actress has also recalled anecdotes from the shoot of the film in an Instagram post stating how her look created controversy at that time.
