Kangana Ranaut has once again stirred controversy with her latest statement accusing Bollywood of never supporting her. The diva, who is currently basking in the glory of her recent historical drama ‘Manikarnika’, opened up on the subject in an interview to Pinkvilla. She said that her contemporaries have sent her trailers of their upcoming films but when it was about her film’s release, nobody spoke up. She also named actor’s Aamir Khan, Alia Bhatt and a few others for not praising her film.
Filmmaker Zoya Akhtar, who is busy with the promotions of her film ‘Gully Boy’ featuring Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh in pivotal roles, replied to Kangana. In a conversation with Pinkvilla again, Zoya opened up on the Kangana Ranaut controversy.
The ‘Gully Boy’ director said, “Of course, people appreciate her work. I don’t understand her accusations, I’m sorry.”
In an interview with Pinkvilla, Kangana Ranaut had said, that she has been ignored by Bollywood celebrities. She has been holding special screenings of her films but they would just not come, though they called her to promote her films. She even cancelled her shoot to attend their special screenings, but now has stopped doing that.
Kangana Ranaut received a lot of praise from a number of well-known celebrities about her acting in ‘Manikarnika’. In fact megastar, Amitabh Bachchan sent her his famous handwritten note appreciating her work.
