After a trail of controversies, Karan Johar‘s ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ is finally releasing on October 28. However, not everyone has come to terms with the Maharashtra Government and MNS’ joint decision. On a chaotic backdrop, filmmaker Zoya Akhtar has come out in strong support of Johar and says he is being bullied.
“You (referring to Karan Johar) are in a situation where you are being bullied and nobody is helping you. You are not being protected. This is chaotic. The Government is saying one thing, people (referring to MNS) are saying something else. In all this what is a lone person supposed to do. It’s not about encouraging talent (from Pakistan). It’s about following the law. They (Government) are giving visas to Pakistani actors. I am following the law. And any political party has to follow the law. If they are not doing so, those elected to power should make sure they don’t break the law. Filmmakers are not breaking the law (by giving work to Pakistani artists),” Zoya said while talking to a news agency.

That indeed is one valid point. We do hope things are back to being normal soon.
