Ranveer Singh starrer 83 The Film crossed the 50 crore mark at the box office on the first Monday. The Kabir Khan-directed film that was released on Friday, December 24, got a great opening at the box office on the first day. The film managed to collect a total of Rs 11.96 crore nett on day one. It went on to make a decent collection, witnessing an upward trend in the collections, during the weekend. However, the movie dropped on the fourth day. 83 The Film has a low box office collection on Tuesday as well.
A Box Office India report stated that 83 The Film has witnessed another fall in the collections and has collected a total of Rs 6 crore nett on the fifth day. In total, with the day 5 collections of 83, the Kabir Khan film has raked a total of Rs 57 crore nett. As per the report, the shutting down of theatres in Delhi is likely to cost the film collections by 10%.
The report said, “83 (Hindi) had another fall in collections on Tuesday as it collected around 6 crore nett giving it a five day total of 57 crore nett. There was some cinemas that shut in Delhi in the evening and all of Delhi is completely shut today (Wednesday). This is going to cost the film around 10% and probably cost 2-3% loss yesterday due to the partial shut.”
