83 Box Office: Ranveer Singh starrer crosses the 50 crore mark on Day 4

83 The Film, directed by Kabir Khan was released in theatres on Friday, December 24. The Ranveer Singh starrer got a decent opening at the box office, on the first day of its release. The movie made a collection of Rs 16 crore nett on the first day of its release. 83 The Film witnessed a growth on the third day and raked a decent collection at the box office. However, the Kabir Khan directorial has not made good business on the first Monday. 83 The Film has a drop in the Day 4 box office collections.

A Box Office India report stated that 83 The Film has made a collection of Rs 7 crore nett on the fourth day of its release. The Ranveer starrer saw a 40% drop in collections from the first day, Friday. The movie has crossed the Rs 50 crore mark on the fourth day, in total collections at the box office.

The report said, “83 (Hindi) collected 7 crore nett apprx on Monday which is a 40% drop from Friday which in terms of drop is not that bad as 50% is the normal but the problem is Friday was not good and you have to be holding up stronger especially in this period between Christmas and New Year which is the best time of the year for multiplex business..”

Meanwhile, the film stars Ranveer Singh in a key role, playing the role of former Indian cricket team skipper Kapil Dev. Deepika Padukone plays the role of Romi Dev. Pankaj Tripathi is also a part of the film, including several other actors who play the roles of the Indian cricket team members that won the 1983 World Cup match.

Bollywood Bubble gave the film four stars and said that 83 The Film is a “live nerve wrecking match you’ll regret missing.”
