Bhediya Box Office: Varun Dhawan, Kriti Sanon starrer picks up pace as it earns well on first weekend

Actors Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon starrer Bhediya started on a decent note and now the movie has picked up over the weekend. Despite facing tough competition from Ajay Devgn, Tabu and Akshaye Khanna starrer Drishyam 2, Bhediya is maintaining its pace. Although Bhediya didn’t make exceptional numbers on its first weekend, the growth over the weekend was fair. It just never got enough of the audience into theatres.

Speaking about the Bhediya first weekend collections, the horror-comedy flick collected Rs 10.75 crores on Sunday. According to Box Office India, the total of the film has now come to Rs 26.75 crores on day 3. Varun Dhawan’s last release Jugjugg Jeeyo had better collections over the weekend. It collected around Rs 34 crore nett which is almost 30% better than his recently released movie Bhediya.

Amar Kaushik’s directorial venture still has time to mint more money till the arrival of Ayushmann Khurrana starrer An Action Hero which will be released on December 2 and Avatar: The Way of Water which is slated to release in Mid December.

Day 2 – Saturday – Rs 9.25 crores

Day 3 – Sunday – Rs 10.75 crores

Meanwhile, Bhediya has earned Rs 43.67 crores on its first weekend at the worldwide markets.

Day 2 – Saturday – Rs 14.60 crores

Day 3 – Sunday – Rs 17.01 crores

Bhediya also stars Deepak Dobriyal, Abhishek Banerjee and Paalin Kabak. Bollywood Bubble gave 4 stars to the Amar Kaushik film. A part of the review read, “Bhediya is super entertaining and manages to live up to the expectations in more ways than one. It surely gets a thumbs-up for its novel idea. From the stunning visuals to the powerful performances from all the actors, Bhediya is a must-watch, especially in the theatres.”
