Aditya Roy Kapur starrer Rashtra Kavach OM and R Madhavan directorial Rocketry – The Nambi Effect clashed at the box office this Friday, July 1. The films were released on the same day, and had a low start at the box office. While the R Madhavan starrer managed to pick pace in terms of collections, the Aditya Roy Kapur movie did not do good business.
A Box Office India report said that Rashtra Kavach OM fell badly on the first Monday, while Rocketry- The Nambi Effect also witnessed a major drop in the collections, after doing a good business on the third day. OM made a collection of 60 lakhs and saw a 55% drop from the day of the release. In total, the Aditya Roy Kapur starrer made a collection of 4.75 cr nett. The report mentioned that the movie might do a business of approximately 6 cr nett in the first week.

Talking about the movie based on the former ISRO scientist, it collected a low 65 cr nett on the first Monday at the box office. As per the report, the weather conditions in Mumbai have affected the fourth day collections of the movie. According to the report, “The film could have had better collections than the first day but Mumbai city had very bad weather with the rains lashing down and bulk of the numbers for this film are from Mumbai city.” In total, Rocketry raked a collection of over 4.50 cr nett and is expected to do around 6.25 crore nett for the first week.
