Box Office Report: Ranbir Kapoor’s ‘Sanju’ becomes the highest first day opener of 2018

Rajkumar Hirani’s ambitious project Sanju’ was released yesterday. As expected, the film went down well with the audiences, who also termed it as Ranbir Kapoor’s career-best performance. Besides Ranbir, Paresh Rawal and Vicky Kaushal won accolades for their brilliant performances too. With everything going right in place, from songs to the storyline, ‘Sanju’ was bound to work wonders at the box office. And guess, what? It has. The first-day box-office report of Hirani’s directorial is out and has shattered many records, thereby becoming the highest first-day opener of 2018.

As per our review, the first-day collection of the movie has proved that it has blockbuster written all over it. According to BoxOfficeIndia, ‘Sanju’ has raked in a whopping amount of Rs 34 crores at the box office. Thus making it the highest first-day opener of 2018. Ranbir Kapoor starrer has shattered the first day collections of many big budget movies including Tiger Shroff and Disha Patani’s ‘Baaghi 2’ and Ranveer Singh-Deepika Padukone-Shahid Kapoor’s ‘Padmaavat’. Going by the report of the portal, if the film continues at the same pace, then it would easily surpass 100cr over the weekend.
