Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness has done very well at the box office, in the week one collection. The Benedict Cumberbatch starrer was released in theatres on May 6. The movie has managed to rake a collection of 103 crore nett in the first week, itself. Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness had opened with a phenomenal collection on the day of its release. The Benedict Cumberbatch film had managed to make an opening collection of over 28 crore nett on Day 1.
A Box Office India report said that the Marvel movie has made a collection of 4.50 crore on Thursday. As per the report, the total collection of the movie, in the week one, is 103 crore nett. The report further stated that the Benedict Cumberbatch film had a good collection at the box office, however, it witnessed a fall during the weekdays.
According to the report, “Dr Strange – In The Multiverse Of Madness has done very well in week one with collections of around 103 crore nett. The film had a fantastic weekend but did see a fall in collections over the weekdays but still despite the fall these collections were pretty decent on weekdays.”

As per the report, “The second weekend should see reasonable collections as Saturday and Sunday do well again and it should comfortably cross the 125 crore nett mark. The film has done well across India but its Mumbai and Delhi / UP leading the way as the former crosses 25 crore nett and the latter is at 19 crore nett. The South saw a contribution of almost 31 crore nett with Mysore and Nizam / Andhra leading the way with 10 crore nett each.”
Meanwhile, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is directed by Sam Raimi and stars Benedict Cumberbatch, Elizabeth Olsen, Benedict Wong, Rachel McAdams, Chiwetel Ejiofor, and Xochitl Gomez.
