Drishyam 2 Box Office: Ajay Devgn starrer inches towards 200 crore mark with third Wednesday collections

The movie Drishyam 2 is now inching towards the 200 crore mark at the box office, in terms of its collections. The Abhishek Pathak directorial was released in theatres on November 18. And, so far, Drishyam 2 starring Ajay Devgn, Tabu and Akshaye Khanna has maintained a successful run, in terms of box office collections. The film has also surpassed the third week collections of Brahmastra, in the Mumbai circuit.

A Box Office India report said that the Ajay Devgn starrer is looking forward to cross the 75 crore nett mark on Thursday. With that, the Abhishek Pathak directorial is looking to finish the third week business at around 13.50 crore nett. Going by the third week business of Drishyam 2, the film will become the fourth highest movie with third week collections in the Mumbai circuit.

According to the report, “Drishyam 2 is on huge run in Mumbai circuit as both Maharashtra and Gujarat score big for the film. The film beat the numbers of Brahmastra in just seventeen days and now is heading to beat the 79 crore nett of The Kashmir Files and the 86 crore nett of Sooryavanshi.”

Meanwhile, the movie Drishyam 2 is the eighth highest grossed overseas in the post pandemic era. As per the reports, the movie is likely to stay in that position. In terms of collections, Brahmastra stands on the first position of the highest grossed overseas movies, leaving KGF Chapter 2 (Hindi) and 83, in the second and third positions, respectively.

The Abhishek Pathak directorial also stars Shriya Saran, Rajat Kapoor, Ishita Dutta and Mrunal Jadhav, apart from Ajay, Tabu and Akshaye Khanna.
