Filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Padmaavat’ opened to a good start at the box office and has already crossed the mark of Rs 100 crore. On its first day, January 25, the film had a collection of Rs 17.75 crore and on second day it saw a huge jump and collected Rs 31 crore. On Saturday, though the film saw a minor drop, it collected a fantastic amount of Rs 27.00 crore.
Well, on Sunday once again the film showed a huge jump and collected Rs 30 crore approx., taking the four-day total to Rs 110 crore (including Rs 4.25 crore from paid previews on Wednesday). The collection is very good, and now it all depends on how the film does today at the box office. (Also Read: Padmaavat movie review: This visual spectacle with rich performances will win you over)
Well, if we just take the first three days collection of ‘Padmaavat’, the film has unfortunately failed to beat the collections of Salman Khan and Aamir Khan-starrers. According to Box Office India, in three days ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ had collected Rs 114.91 crore, ‘Sultan’ had collected Rs 105 crore, and ‘Dangal’ had collected Rs 104.53 crore
Looking at the first weekend collection of ‘Padmaavat’, we can expect the film to do well in the weekdays.
