With each passing day, Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone and John Abraham starrer Pathaan has been breaking records at the box office. The Siddharth Anand directorial is rewriting history books with its collections and its first Sunday was no different. Releasing on a Wednesday, Pathaan enjoyed an extended first weekend at the box office, and it has surely made full use of it.
Pathaan collects Rs 58 crore nett on first Sunday
According to a report in Box Office India, Pathaan had its record fourth day of crossing Rs 50 crore mark with its Sunday collection. The film earned Rs 58 crore nett in the Hindi market, along with Rs 2 crore nett collection in the regional industries. The report stated that the Sunday collections were about mass centres. The film was also on a rampage mode in Gujarat / Saurashtra, Rajasthan, UP and Bihar with phenomenal collections.
With this figure, Pathaan has crossed the Rs 250 crore nett mark in the Hindi market in just five days. The total collection now stand close to Rs 270 crore, with another Rs 9-10 crores coming from the regional market as well.

Pathaan has broken and rewritten several records at the box office in its extended first weekend. Now what remains to be seen is how it performs on weekdays. The advance bookings for Monday have been really good, hinting at a big first weekday. But even the ticket prices will be less, so it remains to be seen how soon the film crosses Rs 300 crore mark. Worldwide too, it has crossed Rs 500 crores gross at the BO. Apart from SRK’s return to the big screen, it is Salman Khan in his cameo as Tiger that has worked wonders for the film. Now, the curiosity for Pathaan and Tiger’s reunion in Tiger 3 is at an all time high.
