Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna starrer Pushpa: The Rise hit the screens worldwide on December 17 in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Malayalam and Kannada. It’s Allu Arjun’s big movie post the Covid-19 lockdown. Though the movie has got mixed reviews, it has not affected the business. It’s doing well at the Hindi belt as well. In fact, on Day 5, the movie pocketed good amount than Day 1 and 2. On its fifth day, Pushpa minted Rs 4.05 crore. So, the total collection stands at Rs. 20.14 crore.

Trade analyst and film critic, Taran Adarsh took to the micro-blogging site to share the collection of Day 5. His tweet read: “#Pushpa is all FIRE… Proves all calculations/estimations wrong… Day 5 higher than Day 1, 2, TERRIFIC HOLD… Mass circuits unstoppable… Shows increased at multiplexes… Fri 3.11 cr, Sat 3.55 cr, Sun 5.18 cr, Mon 4.25 cr, Tue 4.05 cr. Total: ₹ 20.14 cr. #India biz. #PushpaHindi”

Pushpa is doing terrific at the ticket window despite facing a competition with Spider-Man No Way Home. Well, it might face yet another competition, i.e Ranveer Singh’s 83 that is releasing this Friday (December 24). The movie has already got positive reviews as there was a special screening recently. So, Pushpa has two more days to perform well before cricket drama 83 hits the marquee.

A grand bash will happen in Chennai today at 6:30 for Pushpa’s Tamil success. The makers posted about the same on social media.

Directed by Sukumar, Pushpa also stars Fahadh Faasil and Samantha. Pushpa Part 2 is likely to release in 2022.
